THE CARIBBEAN
A favourite warm water destination for all divers. The islands are extremely varied in style and flavour: sophisticated, lively resorts where you can party all night to sleepy islets where a hammock under a palm tree is the only beach facility!! There is some great diving in the Caribbean - The Caymans, Tobago, BVIs, Cozumel, Belize, Bahamas, Bonaire - all really world class diving locations, but you will find good diving everywhere. The Caribbean is an ideal destination for a family holiday or for a holiday with non diving partners too. Many islands have lots to do, both in and out of the water, so no one need be bored. It is fair to say that most tourists in these parts are Americans and therefore tourism has grown up around their expectations of standards. In general this means that you will find a very high standard of accommodation and tourist services - sometimes but not always, at a price. The Caribbean seldom disappoints - it is still the ultimate beach holiday destination.
