France

France is the nearest diving destination country to the UK that can offer a wide range of diving suitable for all grades of divers, together with excellent facilities, pleasant surroundings and easy access.
The Northern coasts are easily accessible by liveaboard charter boat from the U.K. but there are also frequent ferries, the Channel Tunnel, plus a wide range of regional flights between destinations in both countries.
France offers superb diving of all types. The South has Mediterranean diving with warmer water, reefs and some excellent wreck diving. The northern coasts are more like the U.K. and also offer the unique opportunity of diving the huge number of WW2 shipwrecks lying off the beaches of Normandy.
Both areas, of course, have the added attractions of wonderful food and wine!
We have taken the two main areas separately as their attractions are somewhat different.
See NORTHERN FRANCE section.
